collaboration for an exhibition

I am looking for examples of Student and Parent Exhibition Booklets used by other schools. We are working on revising an older format and need some fress vision! Checklists etc.

Hi Kenneth,

Our PYP Exhibition was over about a month ago. Below you have what we used.
Aside from the more formal approach (rubrics, that is) we also had a Comments Book for each group (this was placed on the desk in front of the stand). Since kids of various age groups visited us (from kindergarten to 5th graders) we thought it was better we had something less restrictive - aka, free writing. Plus, the little ones could barely write a sentence so they also used "happy" faces and scores (from 1 to 4).
Each Comments Book had a special cover (e.g. for the coal group, or the biomass group there were significant pictures) and multiple pages were attached to it.
To conclude, we had all three types of documents at each stand so students/parents/other school community people would use the one they felt more comfortable with.

Thank you Cristina, these are really valuable ideas for us as we didn't have these on the planning stage. I like the immediacy of the feedback and also the chance for the mentors to have a more formal say. Every idea we share makes every exhibition authentic and richer for the learner. Many thanks

You are welcome :)
As far as this Ning is concerned, I found people are more reluctant to sharing own experience and knowledge regarding the Exhibition process. I posted a few questions and after having waited for two or three weeks for people to reply, I deleted them since none took interest in what concerned me at the time. I don't know why this happens, but it definitely minimizes one's desire to co-operate.
All in all..I am glad the Exhibition is over and I can use the PYP Threads ning to learn and share more. People seem to be more open there...

Seems to be true... a shame when we are not in competition with each other! Have also found this on the OCC and our own local (Melbourne) networking group (30+ schools). I am lucky in one way in that our staff are great at sharing. Often the coordinator needs to create a sense of worth and trust to make it work. Have joined Threads and will see you there.
