hi there Neeti!!
Sorry so late in replying..haven't checked this in a while. I am well thanks, on holiday in england at the moment.
Congrats on becoming coordinator! i guess you have your auth visit coming up - all the best with that!
keep in touch,
How very true. The tussle between the two themes for me now is SHaring the planet the easier way out OR How we organise our selves- A unit on Human RIghts.......looking at the current senario in India and the possible actions we can take towards a better society, which comprises of us and the rest of the underprivilaged society too. If we dont uplift the remaining society then we can never progress.
My problem here is that my Principal feels we should take the easier way out this time since this will be our first Exhibition, but I am being over ambitious about the whole thing. Need to take a call soon, so that we can move ahead.
But I am thankful to you for sharing your views and your exhibiton plans so openly. The beauty of PYP is this only, SHARING, so that we can grow in our Beliefs and Values.
I think your central Idea was a good example of being Open minded and Iam sure must have exhibited a true flavour of Internationalism.
good to have interacted with, I will be looking forward to many more such exchanges.
Regards,
Neeti
Firstly I am NOT an expert - in fact, to the contrary, I'm just the guy who can be bothered to edit the videos and fiddle around to get things right.
The exhibition that was presented last week was an excellent example of risk-taking by the organisers and looked at something that was relevant and significant to our lives.
The Central Idea was"
"Beliefs and Values shape how we see each other and the world"
A school in Singapore did their exhibition around the idea of "Restoration." I liked their idea a lot as the students developed their own central idea and worked on a wide variety of interpretations of restoration.
Personally, I think the organising theme of "Sharing the Planet" presents an easier option for those who are not experienced with PYP but as understanding progresses so does the possibility of a wider understanding for the exhibition process.
